Nokia

Nokia Corporation, founded in 1865, initially operated as a pulp mill and diversified into various industries over the years. In the late 20th century, Nokia gained prominence in telecommunications, particularly with its mobile phones. The Nokia 3310, released in 2000, became iconic for its durability and long battery life.

However, the advent of smartphones led to Nokia facing challenges, and it struggled to adapt to the rapidly evolving market. In 2014, Nokia's Devices and Services division was acquired by Microsoft. Subsequently, Nokia shifted its focus to networking equipment and services through its Nokia Networks division.

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, Nokia remains a key player in the telecommunications infrastructure industry, providing solutions for 5G networks and beyond. The company also engages in research and development, aiming to contribute to advancements in technology. Keep in mind that developments after January 2022 are not included in this response.
